To,
The District Education Officer (SE/M-EE/W-EE), Attock.
Subject:
Conduct of 5th & 8th Grade Examinations by PЕСТАА and Improvement in BISE Results
As an officer/employee of the School Education Department, it is our prime responsibility to impart quality education to all learners and to ensure that teaching standards meet the expectations of the Government and the community. The Government of Punjab is investing substantial financial resources to uplift the standard of education in District Attock.
Despite these efforts, the recent BISE results of Grade 9 and Grade 10 reflect an unsatisfactory level of academic achievement. This performance is a matter of serious concern and calls for immediate corrective measures. In order to overcome such deficiencies and to strengthen accountability, the School Education Department, under the umbrella of Punjab Education Curriculum Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA), will conduct external examinations of Grade 5 and Grade 8 from the next academic year.
In this connection, you are hereby directed to prepare and submit a school-wise Academic Improvement Plan. This plan must:
1. Identify weaknesses in students’ learning outcomes and gaps in teaching practices.
2. Propose practical and result-oriented strategies to improve academic achievement.
3. Ensure that remedial measures, special classes, and continuous assessments are incorporated.
4. Clearly assign responsibility to each teacher for the academic performance of their respective classes.
The academic progress and performance of every teacher and officer will be strictly evaluated on the basis of both PECTAA and BISE results.
You are therefore directed to submit a comprehensive Academic Improvement Plan in the office of the undersigned by 3rd September, 2025 without fail.
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
(District Education Authority)
Attock
